Small Pure Beeswax Votive Candles, 12 Hour Burn in Cup, Unscented

Small Pure Beeswax Votive Candles

A small round votive poured in 100% pure beeswax, 1.4 inches across the base, 1.9 inches tall and 1.7 inches across the top, so the body widens a little towards the rim. It gives the low, steady light that small candles are wanted for, whether that is a prayer corner, a dinner table or a bedside. It is made to be set in a glass votive cup before lighting: the cup holds the melt pool, and that is how it reaches about 12 hours.

We work from honey cappings, the thin layer of wax that seals ripened honey, and follow a traditional water bath method: the wax is filtered, left to cool on its own and poured by hand. No additives, no artificial fragrance, no chemical dyes, only the faint natural scent of beeswax. A light frost-like bloom on the surface is a hallmark of pure beeswax, not a defect.

Common questions

How long does each candle burn? About 12 hours when it burns inside a glass votive cup, in still air with the wick trimmed. Burned outside a cup the wax pools and it will not last as long.

Do they need a holder? Yes. A votive is meant to burn inside a glass votive cup: the cup holds the melted wax, keeps the flame steady and is what the 12-hour figure is based on.

Are they scented? No. They are unscented, with no added fragrance, only the faint natural scent of beeswax.

What is the difference between Natural and Cream White? The same pure beeswax, with no dye added to either. Natural keeps the honey-gold tone of the wax, and Cream White is the lighter, paler tone.

Why is there a white film on the surface? That is bloom, a natural crystallisation of beeswax that appears with changes in temperature. It does not affect how the candle burns and it is not a defect.
