A slim, straight taper in 100% pure beeswax, made to stand upright in a candle holder and burn with the soft, warm light beeswax is known for. Each candle burns for about 6 to 7 hours.

We work from honey cappings, the thin layer of wax that seals ripened honey, and follow a traditional water bath method: the wax is filtered, left to cool naturally and hand-poured. No additives, no artificial fragrance and no chemical dyes, only the faint natural scent of beeswax. A light frost-like bloom on the surface is a hallmark of pure beeswax, not a defect.

How to use them

• Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting
• Stand them upright in a heat-resistant taper holder with a 7/8 inch opening
• Keep them out of draughts so the flame stays still and the wax burns evenly
• Store spare tapers upright in a cool, dark place so they stay straight
• Let the wax cool completely before you move them

Common questions

How long does each candle burn? about 6 to 7 hours in still air, with the wick trimmed. Draught, room temperature and how long you burn it each time all change the total.

Will they fit my holders? The base is 7/8 inch across, the standard size for taper holders, so they sit straight in most holders and candelabras.

Are they scented? No. They are unscented, with no added fragrance, only the faint natural scent of beeswax.

What is the difference between Natural and Cream White? The same pure beeswax, with no dye added to either. Natural keeps the honey-gold tone of the wax, and Cream White is the lighter tone.
