5 Inch Pure Beeswax Spiral Taper Candles, 5.5 Hour Burn
5 Inch Pure Beeswax Spiral Taper Candles, 5.5 Hour Burn
5 Inch Pure Beeswax Spiral Taper Candles
A short spiral taper in 100% pure beeswax: 5 inches tall and 7/8 inch across the base, with a soft twisted spiral through the body. The short length suits a candelabra, a small holder or a table where a tall taper would get in the way. Each candle burns for about 5.5 hours.
We work from honey cappings, the thin layer of wax that seals ripened honey, and follow a traditional water bath method: the wax is filtered, left to cool on its own and poured by hand. No additives, no artificial fragrance, no chemical dyes, only the faint natural scent of beeswax. A light frost-like bloom on the surface is a hallmark of pure beeswax, not a defect.

Common questions
How long does each candle burn? About 5.5 hours in still air with the wick trimmed. Draught, room temperature and how long you burn it each time all change the total.
Will they fit my holders? The base is 7/8 inch across, which is the standard taper size in North America, so they sit in most candelabra, sconces and taper holders.
Why is the spiral there? The spiral is pressed into the body while the wax is still soft. It is decorative, and it also helps the flame find the wick edge as the candle burns down.
Are they scented? No. They are unscented, with no added fragrance, only the faint natural scent of beeswax.
What is the difference between Natural and Cream White? The same pure beeswax, with no dye added to either. Natural keeps the honey-gold tone of the wax, and Cream White is the lighter tone.
