A short, wide pillar rolled from beeswax honeycomb sheet rather than poured. The faceted wall catches the light in small planes, so even an unlit candle reads as texture on a table, and the rolled wall burns down into a wide, even pool.

Each sheet is cut to size, warmed until it turns pliable, then rolled around a cotton wick and pressed at the seam. Nothing is added to the wax, so the only scent is the faint honey note of beeswax itself. A pale film on the surface, called bloom, is a normal sign of pure beeswax and wipes off with a fingertip.

Why does the wall look faceted instead of smooth? It is rolled from honeycomb sheet, so the hexagonal pattern of the sheet stays on the surface. A poured pillar is smooth; a rolled one keeps that texture all the way down.

Will it drip? Rolled beeswax burns with a wide pool and does not drip when the wick is trimmed and the candle stands level. A long wick or a draught can tip wax over the edge.

What is the white film on the surface? Bloom. It appears on pure beeswax when the wax cools and is not a defect; it wipes off with a fingertip or a soft cloth.

Can I put it in a lantern or a glass sleeve? Yes, as long as there is air around the flame and the top is open. A closed lantern will starve the flame and blacken the glass.
